Beauty and the Beast: Pilot

Yes, Beauty and the Beast is another monster romance TV series. At least for me, this premise hasn’t gotten old yet. What’s different here is that it appears to be, more specifically, a crime solving show.

True Blood: Save Yourself

Well, the fifth season is over, and while my worst fears were not realized, I certainly didn’t care for “Save Yourself.” It was unbalanced, choppy, and featured one of the most pointless and ridiculous sequences in the history of True Blood.

True Blood: Sunset

It’s hard to be a fan and a critic. As a fan of True Blood, I really want to give this episode and many preceding the benefit of the doubt and say that it was good, not because it actually was, but because the season finale is gonna be awesome and sort of reshape what I think of the season as a whole. Sadly, I’m also a critic, and I have to be honest with myself and say that this episode, for the most part, sucked… and I don’t have a lot of hope for Sunday’s finale.

True Blood: Everybody Wants to Rule the World

I love it when people take my advice. And by people, I mean TV shows. And by TV shows, I mean True Blood. Against all the odds, this most recent episode, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” managed to wrap up some storylines while bringing together into a (more or less) cohesive unit all the remaining plots. Brilliant! This is like Shakespeare or Mozart in comparison to the rest of the season, which might be more akin to Stephanie Meyer or Justin Bieber.
